ABOUT ANKE'S
​My Story
Growing up under a communist regime in East Germany, I developed a love of giving and creating from a very young age. After the fall of the Berlin Wall, I lived briefly in Ireland before moving to the UK, where in 2013 I set up my tea & coffee lounge, Anke's. Ever since, this place has become my home, allowing me to pursue my passions for baking, creating and bringing people together.

13 years later in 2026, my once-little coffee shop can be found in a beautiful Victorian building in Westcliff-on-Sea, five times the size of the little place I started out in.

Having established a strong status in the community with an incredibly loyal customer base, I am very happy to say that my "little-big" shop is at the centre of hearts in Westcliff and beyond.

Anke's is the place to come together for tea, coffee, homemade food, connection, tranquility, books, sometimes music, a chat and a laugh.
